South park fever...

South park fever has started!

Every night starting from 11 PM - 1 AM is reserved for watching south park episodes, which are unbelievably hilarious! Its non stop laughter for those 2 hours everyday! I finally found my CD with South Park episodes which I burnt last year! Thanks Chitgo for that :)

Downloading the movie and more South Park episodes - have led to a crazy time during the last week and more to come during this week!

Golden Triangle, Iceland

After an excellent conference, with an amazing experience, today was the day to visit a few places and do some sight seeing!

Iceland - Fantastic waterfalls, geysers, volcanic bubblings and blowouts, snowy mountains, grassy plains, geothermal pools for bathing and lava, lava everywhere. That's Iceland for you!

I had a chance to visit Gullfoss and the Geyser, and I was simply awestruck! Today was freezing with the wind in the sub zero temperatures! But well nothing stopped me to visit this. Look at the pictures:

Had an excellent time chairing the conference in AIESEC Iceland - thanks everyone and with an exotic country like this, my time has been nothing less than memorable!

Aurora borealis...

Well lucky me!

I had a chance to see a spectacular natural phenomenon, which only a few are lucky enough!

Northern lights! - also called Aurora borealis.

Brief on northern lights:

The sun gives off high-energy charged particles (also called ions) that travel out into space at speeds of 300 to 1200 kilometres per second. A cloud of such particles is called a plasma. The stream of plasma coming from the sun is known as the solar wind. As the solar wind interacts with the edge of the earth's magnetic field, some of the particles are trapped by it and they follow the lines of magnetic force down into the ionosphere, the section of the earth's atmosphere that extends from about 60 to 600 kilometres above the earth's surface. When the particles collide with the gases in the ionosphere they start to glow, producing the spectacle that we know as the auroras, northern and southern. The array of colours consists of red, green, blue and violet. The Northern Lights are constantly in motion because of the changing interaction between the solar wind and the earth's magnetic field.

I have never seen nature so close as this! To be there and experience this, was just spectacular! I don't know if the picture has come out so clear, but you can see dimly the greenish streak!

Reykjavik, Iceland!

Landed yesterday in the afternoon in the cold Reykjavik airport, and straight away went to Blue lagoon!
I haven't seen a more unique and beautiful place than this!

Situated in the middle of nowhere, warm jet blue waters! Extremely serene, closest to nature and you can feel that! Its 3 degrees, and the warm waters makes it an ideal place for tourists and Icelanders!
